School Holiday Fun!

From fairies to bottomless toy boxes, Darebin City Council turns up the volume on kids’ entertainment with an upcoming season of high-quality circus and physical theatre at Darebin Arts and Entertainment Centre these September school holidays.
Presented as part of Loudmouth, this September holidays program features exciting and quality shows that both kids and grown-ups will enjoy.
The Fairy Show.
An outdoor fairy picnic filled with sing-a-long fun, mad-cap circus and amazing acrobatics.  
Created by Melbourne circus troupe Dislocate, The Fairy Show will enliven the Ray Bramham Gardens at Darebin Arts and Entertainment Centre.
Tuesday 24 and Thursday 26 September. 10am

Curiosity
Follow Alex into the curious world encased inside her toy box in the modern-day Alice in WonderlandCuriosity.
Curiosity tells a heart-warming tale of homesickness through a mixture of high-flying aerial feats and slapstick.
Wednesday 25 September 9:30am + 11:30am

Squaring the Wheel
From juggling teacups to toilet brush percussion, everyday household objects are transformed into fantastic contraptions in steampunk-inspired children’s show.
Created by Jacques Lecoq-trained Jens Altheimer, Squaring the Wheel showcases it’s European circus brilliance.

Scratch n Sniff Sensory Theatre Workshop
In multi-sensory workshop Scratch n’ Sniff, children will develop confidence in storytelling that uses taste, sight, vibration, sound, smell and touch.
Created by St Martins Youth Arts Centre, teaching artists and Auslan interpreters have designed this workshop for kids who can hear, are hearing impaired or deaf .
Tuesday 1 – Friday 4 October. 10am-3pm.
