Car for sale

Hi Newlanders,
We are selling our much loved and incredibly reliable family car as work has changed our car needs.
The great things about this car are:
·       it runs on LPG (gas injection system), making it very economical to run;
·       as a former highway patrol-car, it excels at doing long trips;
·       for those who love a bit of power, it has an LS1 Gen 3 V8 engine and is remarkably easy to drive as the suspension and brakes are upgraded to match its power;
·       it has been serviced regularly;
·       the duco and interior is in very good condition;
·       it is registered until December 2016, and
·       it is an automatic with only 181,000 km on the odometer.
The greatest thing is the price: we are selling it for $5,500.

If you are interested, give Mark a call on 0424 021 382

Sublet

May-July sublet in central Preston
$750 (negotiable) — Preston, Victoria, Australia
Just putting the feelers out for the right person for a rad sublet in the glorious light filled (and centrally heated) Preston farmhouse. I'll be away from the 13th of May till the 9th of July looking for one person (or the right couple could be negotiated -my room is massive) to take the room pref for the whole time. Rent is $750pcm inc bills and internet, I'll be gone for 8 weeks. You'll be sharing with Jack (38) the coolest dude this side of bell st and Erin, (31) almost too stylin for preston herself. Both work lots and like the house to be kept clean and quiet after 10ish but don't mind a bit of a drink n chat. The house is awesome, big, light and 2mins from Preston train station and market, 2 mins from 112 tram and close to bell st buses etc. My room is massive, (I swear it will be tidier than in the photo) with morning sun and high ceilings - the yard is big enough for a full free ranging farm.. just please water my plants! email rachgoldlust@gmail.com

Local Leader Grants

Untitled-2
If you are wondering what to vote for in this round of Local Leader Grants, here's a good one to vote for......

PROMOTING HEALTH AND FITNESS AT SYDNEY ROAD COMMUNITY SCHOOL

The health and wellbeing of our students at Sydney Road Community School, a small government school in Brunswick, has always been a priority for us. Recent data collected from students showed a serious lack of physical activity in their lives. The aim of this idea would be to give students an opportunity to improve their overall fitness and health in a fun way by participating in classes run by the YMCA. Also to introduce them to a valuable community resource that they may use in the future.

Lost

Lost!
I know this is a long shot, but I'm going to try anyway....
My little man has lost his Max Schnell car (from Cars) at the Kite Festival today and he is absolutely devastated. He has had a bit of a rough time being on and off sick. I bought him the car because he is taking some Chinese herbs at the moment, and they are pretty disgusting.
So I'm hoping if any one has found it, we might be able to get it back..

Thanks beautiful people!

Painters

Untitled-2

Hello,

I work with a young person who loves painting and has recently expressed an interest in pursuing it as a career and I thought it would be good for him to give it a try first and see if he likes it.  So I'm offering us both as volunteer painters for the Newlands area and surrounds.  If you need anything painted at all please give me a call :)
