On Thursday 29th June, 3.30-6pm, the local community will have the opportunity to experience different elements of Muslim culture at the Newlands Primary School fundraising Eid afternoon tea, to mark the end of Ramadan, the current month of fasting for Muslims.
The $5.00 per family entry free will cover fun and free activities for kids and adults (eg. games, henna painting, face-painting, write your name in Arabic calligraphy, traditional dress ups etc) - there'll be a small charge for those keen to try yummy multicultural food items and refreshments like Arabic coffee and sage/peppermint tea.
All are welcome!
