Lost Dog
Our beautiful Sun Dog (see picture) escaped through the open front door on Sunday morning and hasn't been seen since. She's very friendly and probably hooked up with some friends down the creek but we've had no luck finding her so far. If found please phone Dave on 0428631004 or central animal records on the number on her collar (new blue collar with pictures of lemons on it). She's well mannered and answers to "Sunny". Thanks!!

Creeks Bike Riders
One trick when encountering illegal bike riders on our local creeks, is to take a picture. You can actually take a picture or just pretend to (with the phone you left at home!) No need to get close or confrontational. They do know it is illegal and once they are aware that the locals care enough to take action, they move on.
If you do manage to take a shot, you can offer it to the police.

Dirt Bikes on the Creek
I have recently spoken to the local police about the young men riding Dirt Bikes along the Merri Creek north of Bell St.
They told me to call 000 every time we see the dirt bike riders as there is often a patrol car nearby. The police may not be able to catch the guys but it will at least deter the riders from coming back as often. If you have any information about where these riders live or come from then let the police know.
For me it is important that these parklands are accessible and safe for all of us to use with our kids and dogs and don't just turn into a local motorbike track. There are appropriate places to ride motorbikes and this is not one of them.

Car For Sale
Hyundai Accent 2001
LC GL 5-dr Hatchback
$3,595
The rare five-door manual hatch, for the price of a three-door. Excellent value and fuel efficiency.
Great car to drive, roomy boot, plenty of zip, and very economical to run. Comes with a new windscreen and two new front tyres, fully serviced, registered right through to November 2014, and with RWC.
Much loved. Only selling because since we moved to Coburg we now prefer riding bikes!
Owned by mature female driver for the last six years (second owner).
It has a few scratches in the paintwork and interior, nothing dramatic for a car this age - otherwise good condition.
Give us a call to test drive or make an offer.

Experienced House Sitter
My name is Helen Begley, I am an experienced house sitter and ex Coburg resident. I have not only had the pleasure of living in and around the city of Moreland for the past 20 years, I also recently house sat for local Newlands resident, Jody Galvin, looking after her two lovely dogs while she and partner Wayne were on holidays.
I am a local music teacher and musician who enjoys the company of animals as well as their humans. If you need a house and pet sitter when you go away, I would be very pleased to come and look after your house and pets while you enjoy your holidays.
I can provide references upon request and I'm also happy to get a police check if necessary.
For enquiries, you can contact me at helenbegley@yahoo.com.au

Garden Swap?
Hi All,
I am on Meadow Street and have a great veggie garden and I am hoping I can do some garden help swaps over summer.
I am away from the 28th of December for week and then away from the 18th of January for a week.
I am after a person / couple of people to do a bit of watering for me – in return for picking what they can see in the garden – zucchinis coming now – lettuce and greens and soon tomatoes.
I am very happy to repay the favour and do some watering in the middle couple of weeks of January.
Please let me know if you can help me out.

Thanks all and have a wonderful Christmas.
Rachael.

Friend Looking to Rent a House - Can Anyone Help?
A friend of mine with lovely twin toddlers has to move out of her unit up near the Big 4 caravan park at the end of January and is looking for a new place to rent. She would like 2 bedrooms, a bath, a garden or courtyard and preferably single storey to avoid stairs with the two kids.
She's looking to pay $330-360 or so per week and is keen to stay in the Reservoir/Preston/Coburg/Pascoe Vale area.
If you have any leads, please let me know at annamcumming@gmail.com and I'll pass messages on to her.
Thanks in advance, Anna
