I am not so comfortable with the description of the naked hill-sitter at Edgars Creek hill lookout. There is a place for outdoor nudity, but public parks are not it.

I am concerned that the nudist might be a lewdist and would encourage anyone who sees inappropriate nudity to report it to the local police. There is a link between flashing and sexual violence. Although this did not sound like flashing it did set off alarm bells for me.

The time has passed where we think that kind of behaviour is amusing and think nothing more of it.

This is a message to the naked Gentleman my son and I disturbed Tuesday afternoon, sat as he was, on the chair atop the Edgars Creek hill lookout next to the old Kodak factory, overlooking the dog walking park.

Sorry we startled you mate and thank you for disappearing so quickly and discretely, that was one conversation I didn't fancy having with a 3 year old. I don't have a problem with you hanging out there (literally) because it's a good view and you didn't seem to be doing anything dodgy other than communing with nature, but maybe I could offer a piece of advice: perhaps it's not such a wise move to do this sort of thing during the school holidays when there are so many children raging around down below hey.

A Message...

Further to the strange behaviour story...
I have called Fawkner Police and have made a statement which will be distributed to patrolling officers.
Cheers.

Hi Newlands News Organiser,  I was wondering if you could pass onto the provider of the post about the strange behaviour, the importance of providing all of the information to the Police?
I believe the police have in the past investigated related strange behaviour in the area and I'm sure any new information would help them.
It wasn't clear from the post if they have alerted the police or not but it would be great if they could do that. Thanks.
PS - thanks for your work on the news posts, its a really great service.
Cheers!
