Looking for a Housemate

Hi everyone, I've recently taken a lease on a 2 bedroom house in Preston and am looking for a housemate. Great house tucked away at the end of the street, green and leafy, lots of garden, 2 large bedrooms, lounge room, big kitchen, sun-room, garage and me:-)

This is a good opportunity for someone who wants to get into making a comfortable home, I'm totally open to creating the space however it suits.

I am in my early 40's and mostly work in the film and TV industry which can see sometimes see me working a lot of hours of the week with early starts and late finishes. So would need to live with someone who understands that commitment. Sometimes I can be away consecutive days. Generally I like to get out and about as much as stay in and potter around the house and garden. I like photography and vinyl records and all kinds of art and culture in general. I like to create a home space that is comfortable, secure, welcoming and open.

I'd prefer to live with someone 30 and over, non-smoker, pets might be okay. I eat most everything so that's up to you if that works.

Heya! As spring is nearly sprung it’s time to find us a new housemate for our beautiful central Preston home!

We are about a 7min walk away from Preston market and station, 5mins to the no.11 Tram, 3mins to Bell St buses and all the other goodies that we call the Republic of Prestonia.

We are looking to fill two rooms, preferably one person willing to take on the large front room (it’s big maybe 20sqm) and the second back room (11m2) as a studio space but we’d still like to keep it open for the occasional guest or friends in needs etc.

$810 PCM for this lovely light filled room and we can negotiate the extra studio/workshop/study for the right person.

Our home is a very chilled place and is cosy with floorboards and high ceilings, ducted heating, a comfy front porch and back hang space, but only a cute little side kitchen and small-ish entertaining area so couples are a definite maybe as this house works best with 3.

To share with 1 x female very busy madly finishing a PHD but likes cooking and PBS and football and a glass of wine, and 1 x male who is home a fair bit time and likes to read and garden and generally potter. 

We would prefer someone who wants to share the odd dinner, laugh, and be present and available to give towards a house as more than a place to base their busy life. We have an enormous yard that needs CONSTANT care which we share, and chooks and a veggie garden that could always do with more love. Bills are split and internet is $20 PCM.

We are looking for a professional person to share a home with 1 adult (43) and 1 child (11). We have just secured this property and will be moving in on the 18th of May. It's a beautiful place, full of character, high ceilings, floorboards, reverse cycle air-con, dishwasher, two courtyards and an outdoor bath.

It is a two-minute walk to the 96 tram, parks across the road and an eight-minute walk to Lygon St. Coffee shop and laundromat four-minute walk away.

We are looking for the someone long-term preferably. I work in education and am completing my masters in primary teaching. Oscar is a student and a sports nut. We lead fairly busy lives, but love to find time to hang at home and play sport or bike ride. We are both keen mountain-bike riders and love to get away camping or otherwise when we can.

Hi, we are two women (35, 31) who have just scored a pretty big spacey new house at 23 Jessie St Preston looking for a third to move in by the weekend of the 19th July preferably.  We are pretty down to earth, gonna get a garden happening, into some communal dinners and sharing of food times, a few parties on occasion and some sunday morning PBS dancing sessions planned.  Prefer male, late 20s, 30s into doing their bit, conscious eating, eager to do stuff in the garden and have some chats when the mood is right.  We are both working and would appreciate someone with regular work and interested in chipping in.  Women please apply too if this is something you think you'd really fit into.

We are: Erin originally from Newcastle, social worker, into nice dresses and the occasional tipple, appreciate good music, travelling and working in the garden.

Rach: From round the corner Preston, studying at Latrobe and interested in sustainable living, building and community ideas, likes a good dance from time to time, going to festivals, dressing up, doing yoga and good wholesome food made from scratch, the less plastic the better.

The house is large, 4 bedroom but we're going to have a spare room for guests.  High ceilings, ducted heating, gas cooking, nice and light. Close to NMIT, preston market, Bell and preston station etc.  The rooms are medium sized-  there's a choice of 2 depending on which one is to be the spare!  On street parking, massive yard, laundry and front deck for morning sun!

Rent is $710 approx and bond is being paid at the moment so it will be paid to us.  We haven't organised bills and internet but assume this is split 3 ways.

The House:
Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, large kitchen and beautiful backyard with veggie patches and a shed for extra storage. The house has ducted heating, air conditioning and is close to a range of public transport options.

Your room has a large window, built in wardrobe and is large enough to fit a queen sized bed and other furniture you may need. You also have your own bathroom with shower, bath, vanity and heaps of storage located opposite your bedroom. We have a shared spare room too that you're welcome to use for as a study, for craft, for meditation or yoga, as a chill out space, for when people stay over or for whatever use you can think of. 

The Housemates: 
Three people live here - myself, Cheyne and Aidan. I'm vegan, work part time and love cooking, community and growing food. Cheyne is vegan, works full time and enjoys eating, playing guitar and bike rides. Aidan is 7, is vegan at home and loves lego, swimming and keeping the house safe from ninjas with his mad jedi skills. Aidan lives with us during the week and with his father every other weekend and half of school holidays. All three of us have share housed a lot (Aidan for most of his life) and are respectful of peoples space, excellent communicators and genuine laid back folk. 

What we are looking for: 
A vegan or vegetarian who is looking for a relaxed place to call home. We are hoping to share our space with a laid back, considerate, like minded individual who is into sustainable living.

My 14 year old pooch might struggle sharing with little kids or cats...He is fully house trained and sleeps most of the day, and he's never been a chewer!!

There's a bit of a vegi garden and a couple of fruit trees and really close to Edgars Creek.

I eat a mostly vego diet, but have no problem with your choice of diet. I'll happily cook most meals (just can't stop the chef training!).

It's a very friendly street, Ballard Ave, and I know most of residents and we often chat on the side of the road.
