Online Training

Untitled-2

Free online training to become a Climate Reality Leader.

Last day or so to register to do Al Gore's Global Climate Reality Leadership Training between Oct 16th to Oct 24th and in the lead up to COP26 in Glasgow.

Understand and learn how to present Climate science and have those conversations within your families, social groups, school, church and community groups, business and work networks.

The Climate Reality Leadership Training which launched in 2008 (after an Inconvenient Truth was published) was originally done in person, however, due to COVID19,  2020 was the first online Global training with circa 20,0000 people trained last year. The 2021 global training is in a few weeks' time.

Learn climate science, presentation skills and social media skills.  Amazing way to connect and collaborate to move the dial on the climate crisis and advocate for a Just Transition. Open to people from all walks of life, both young and old who wish to improve their understanding of Climate change and take action

TIme commitment  - pre-reading plus

First weekend 2x 2hr sessions
First week 4 x 2 hr sessions evenings 7-9pm within the smaller groups you are allocated to (usually 12-18 people) with a CRL mentor.
Final weekend 2x 2hr sessions.

Very late to be posting here ... but well worth it.

The Climate Reality Project for APAC is kindly hosted by the MSSI (Melbourne Sustainable Society Insititute) at Melbourne University

Environmental Activism Training with Australian Conservation Foundation

We are entering one of the most creative and transformative decades in history. Together we must face this climate and extinction crisis with the courage to make it bring us together – not tear us apart.
We’ve got a lot of work to do to get all our leaders – in business, government and in all corners of our communities – to work together and truly tackle the challenges ahead.
More and more of us are speaking out. But only through unprecedented people power can we build organised communities for sustained change.
That’s why we’re asking you to help build the skills and connections your community needs.

Join us on at Activate on August 24th- 25th and get energised, learn new skills, and connect with others. You’ll be ready to be part of powerful national campaigns and to run local campaigns of your own!
Change happens when ordinary people get engaged and come together to make it happen. People power gave women the right to vote, and stopped slavery. People saved the Franklin River from becoming a dam.

For generations, people have come together to make life better for themselves and those who follow. Now it’s our turn!

What will happen at Activate Training Summit:
  • We’ll share the fundamentals of building people power, including how to run an effective, structured, and fun group, how to have persuasive conversations, and how to grow our national movement for change
  • We’ll delve deep into our strategy to stop digging and burning coal, rapidly transition to 100% clean energy, and protect Australia’s unique natural places – and how you can be a part of it
  • We’ll also provide lunch, snacks, and plenty of stories
Together, we’re building powerful, organised communities to create long-term change. We’re taking on the big challenges to create a system that does right by people and nature. Come to Activate and get ready to be part of a powerful national movement.
Hope to see you there,
Emma & Mike
