Permablitz

Newlands Primary School is having its first ever Permablitz this Sunday! We are going to plant an orchard, build a sandpit, put the groundwork in for a poa maze while the kids make lunch for us and create ephemeral cubby houses out of a couple of catoneaster trees.
The Newlands community is warmly welcomed and over the course of the day there will be a couple of fruit tree planting workshops for those interested.
We are starting at 10.30 and should be finished up by 4.00 and it would be wonderful to see some neighbourhood folk there (if only for an hour or two).

Permablitz on Boyne St.

Hello.
My name is Isobel and my partner and little boy and I have just moved into a house on Boyne st! we are really pleased to find such an active community resource in the newlands Blog. it seems like there are some awesome folk around these parts.
