Dental Rescue Day

Untitled-2

Dental Rescue Day

Some of us will either have been in dental pain before, or knows of someone who has been in dental pain. Another long weekend is coming, and the team at CHOC would like to help some of the local residents in dental pain to have a pain free weekend with their families.
On Monday 2nd March 2015, CHOC will open its doors to see adults and children to treat 1 tooth per patient on a no appointment, first come first served basis between 9am and 5pm. Dental screening appointments will commence at 8.30AM to assess suitability.
Whilst we will not be charging a fee, patients are more than welcome to make a voluntary donation of any amount going towards Animals Australia.

The terms and conditions are:
1. You must hold a current Pension Card or Healthcare Card and present it on the day including proof of photo ID.
2. Treatment is limited to 1 tooth per person, and for a simple extraction or filling only. (For example, no sedation, root canals or impacted wisdom teeth)
Help us spread the word, so it might help someone in need that you might know :)

CHOC Preschool Dental Check-up Program

This year the team at Coburg Hill Oral Care piloted a preschool dental check-up program between August and October 2014. Four preschools participated in this exciting program to strengthen the local community network and health services to promote oral health. A total of 100 children received complimentary dental check-ups.
Our findings show a large proportion of children did not require dental treatment. However, it was identified that 12 of the children did require further dental treatment, and an additional 2 children may need hospitalisation for urgent dental treatment.
It is anticipated that this program will be expanded from early next year. Anyone who is interested in our work or would like to participate in the program may contact our oral health therapist Mr Tan Nguyen at info@coburghilloralcare.com.au
