What's the Zero-Waste Market? Glad you asked!

The Zero-Waste Market is a family-friendly day out, featuring Moon Rabbit's On the Hop cafe van, as well as a pop-up Bulk Foods Collective. There'll be stalls showcasing some of the amazing local businesses and makers that are guided by community sustainability, caring for the local environment and cultural heritage. But wait, that's not all! There'll also be live music, kid-friendly activities, a Bokashi bin raffle and FREE babycinos, courtesy of On the Hop.

Pop into the hall to shop for your everyday essentials at the Bulk Foods Collective - prices are discounted for members and staff. Then stop by Northcote Bakeshop for all your bakery needs, before stocking up on fresh fruit & veg at the Melbourne Food Hub. Head on outside and peruse the local stallholders - there's lots to behold; art, homewares, jewellery, zero-waste tips and more! By now you're probably ready to grab a coffee and a bite from On the Hop and relax in our seating area to enjoy some live music. As for the kids, there's lots to keep them busy between FREE babycinos, the Boomerang bag crafting stall and the plant-a-seed stall. At these activities they'll be able to decorate reusable tote bags and plant their own take-home seedlings!

Coburg Night Market has today released the full details of 2018's musical program – your soundtrack to the market's food, drink and artisan offerings each Friday from November 30 - December 21. Under the experienced and tasteful guidance of Emily Ulman, the Coburg Night Market's weekly performances have been curated to showcase the wonderfully diverse and consistently impressive local music scene. Each week's event will play host to two stages: one local independent record label's hand picked line-up, and Hope St Radio DJs providing the tunes to keep the vibe going. Following to last week's announcement of November 30th's Aarght Records stage take-over (featuring Parsnip, Drug Sweat, J.McFarlane's Reality Guest and U-Bahn, with Hope St's Bayu and Moopie), three new hot line ups from local labels House of Beige, Lost and Lonesome andHysterical Records have been added, completing the 2018 program. MzRizk, U-Bahn (photo credit Jamie Wdziekonski), Dianas (photo credit Tom Mannion), Melbourne Cans (photo credit Louis Oliver Roach) Friday December 7,  in the shade of Bridges Reserve's leafy oaks, the indie label run by Remi and Sensible J,  House Of Beige, brings the inimitable DJ MzRizk, Digital Afrika and Cool Out Sun on stage, while Oscar Key Sungand Gian Manik keep the vibe high beyond the sunset.  Revered Indie Pop label Lost and Lonesome summon the powers of Great Earthquake, Monnone Alone, Melbourne Cans and The Icypoles on December 14, with Woody and Merve working tirelessly to provide sound support.
