Looking For a Rental

Hello, my 3yo son and I love living in Newlands and have built such a great network of friends and community here. Unfortunately, we have just been told that we need to leave our rental property by early January. I am reaching out to see if there is anyone looking to transfer a lease or rent out a house in the neighbourhood.

I am a single mother, working part-time as a nurse whilst raising my 3yo son, who goes to Barry Beckett Childrens Centre. We love getting out and about in the neighbourhood, gardening and riding our bikes to the markets. I have an excellent rental record, including 5 years in this house, with our real estate agents happy to provide references.

We have a small cat and a poodle dog, who are on our current lease and have never caused any damage or issues before. We would only need a courtyard to accommodate them, but are also happy to care for a larger garden. I have done a lot to improve our current property including the garden, and am happy to do the same in future homes if the owners like.

Seeking Rental

Hi Newlanders,

I wrote this a few weeks ago before before we were in the clutches of Covid-19.

I've been living in the area for over 15 years and soon have to move due to renovations at my rental-which are still going ahead. I have to be out by the end of May. No one wants to be or should be moving at this time, but I don't have much choice..

Long story short, I'd love to stay in this community and am looking for a new home to set up-not looking to join a share house, with a view to possibly seeking a housemate down the track. Preferably something long term.

I'm a horticulturist of 35+ years, run my own business (consultation, edible gardens, fruit tree pruning, maintenance, renovation & beautification), and am the kind of gardener who gets home from work and goes straight out to the garden.

I'm looking for a place with a garden to possibly beautify/renovate in exchange for negotiable rent.

I'll be vacating my 3 bedroom Coburg North rental in mid July and was wondering if anyone would like to take it over? It's a very comfortable home with an extremely low maintenance back yard.  I currently sublet a garage/workshop and storage bungalow out the back for a combined $110 per week which reduces the $450 per week rent to $340. The subletters are keen to stay so that's why I'd really like to find someone who would be happy for them to do so and take over the rental as is.
