Hi Everyone,

I hope you are doing well.

Just a quick email to let you know that bookings for term 3 yoga are now open.

Classes are held at the East Coburg Neighbourhood house on Nicholson Street, it is a cosy space with a maximum of 8 to a class.

Classes are held on Thursday evenings 6.30-7.30pm and 7.45-8.45pm.

Term 3 starts Thursday 14th July and goes for 10 weeks and costs ($95 concession $135 standard).

Classes are Vinyassa style, with the latter class doing a longer relaxation due to the late time of the class.

Petition

Please sign my petition to put some sort of pedestrian crossing between Barry Becket and Newlands Community Centre on Murray Road. Crossing on the corner of Murray Road and Elizabeth Street can be really dangerous because of the turning lane. The other day my daughter was nearly run over crossing on her bicycle at these lights. People frequently cross at the proposed crossing spot, in red on the below map, with no pedestrian crossing and this can be quite tricky.  The only other spot to cross safely is 600 meters in the other direction near the Olympic swimming pool.

You are invited to spend 2 nourishing hours in restorative practices to align yourself with this winter pause in preparation for our slow, gentle journey back towards the sun.

Includes complimentary Yoga Nidra recording for you to continue your wintering practice at home.

You're encouraged to fill a hot water bottle, find your cosiest socks, and retreat to a small, warm space in your home where you can place your mat, gather your home-sourced props, and be guided through gentle movement, restorative yoga, and yoga nidra.  

These practices promote rest, renewal, and reflection and are a wonderful way to embody winter. 

No experience necessary.

We're re-doing our front lawn with native plants and need a whole stack of old newspapers if anyone from the Newlands Estate or nearby has any lying around. I can come and collect next weekend.

Purchased recently from Kogan (https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/table-top-tv-swivel-mounted-stand-32-55-home-furniture/). 

NOTE: It DOESN’T have the advertised swivel feature which I specifically needed, so they refunded my money and didn’t require me to return it. 

Otherwise, it’s perfectly OK - very sturdy and height adjustable. Still in its original packing.
