Shopportunity
If anyone is planning to spend money at the ugg boot and sheepskin outlet on Sydney Rd near Harding St, I'd love it if you could get in touch - I have a $105 credit voucher that I'm unlikely to spend myself. They have a really good range.
Cheers, Anna.

Pop Up Shop
Dear Friends,
We have been quietly working on promoting Timeless Textiles, our endeavour to support women’s groups, import and sell fair trade textiles from India.
We are having a ‘pop up’ open day at our friend Mary’s home in Thornbury on Saturday 20 June.We now have acquired a good range of contemporary and artisan quilts. On our recent trip to India we commissioned some textiles which have now been transformed into beautiful Kanthas. We also visited Jharkhand and purchased rare tribal quilts with motifs of animals, flowers and symbols which are also painted on rammed earth houses during Diwali each year. We will bring them along.
It would be really appreciate if you would help publicise the opening on the north-side of town to friends and people who you think might like to see the textiles. We hope you will come and have a look at the latest quilts. There is no pressure to purchase, we’d love to show them to you.
Pat and Danny.

The Raw Store
We are a family
owned and run, organic, sustainable, fair food store that operates as a
membership-only community. Membership gets you everything at cost price. You pay what we pay. You decide what membership works best for
you.
Organic markup
is on average 40% and up to 100% on some products. Buying retail is stripping
at least $5,400 annually from a $250 a week food budget. Imagine what buying
everything from us would mean in savings for you! We stock a full food, household
and personal items range including organic booze…
We stock only
locally produced, certified-organic, hand-selected products that have been
tested on our family so we know they are delicious, healthy and awesome.
We think:
·
Food should be free of refined
sugar
·
GM’s a Frankenstein experiment
·
Local is best
·
How you buy food is a political
statement and our model helps members be positive activists.
·
Its everyone’s responsibility to
reduce waste and packaging and our model makes it easy for members to do their
bit
·
Our bodies and homes should be
toxic free
·
Only sustainably produced palm
oil should be used
·
Options aren't necessary if you
have quality
And that’s how we hand selected
every product in The Raw Store…Once you’re a member, come into
our store on a Saturday and Sunday and do your shopping.

ECO Home and Body @ The Preston Market!
A new stall, ECO Home & Body, has arrived at the Preston Market on Fridays, 8am-8pm, providing all your environmentally freindly Home and Body products. Come down and say hi, and have a bite to eat in the market. We are situated opposite the health food shop.
At ECO Home & Body, Emma has hand selected products according to their ECO benefits, taking into consideration what goes into the products, where they are made, packaging, the ethos of the companies, and fair trade practices.
ECO Home & Body’s range of products provides alternatives to everyday products that have as little impact on the environment as possible, and employ the concepts of precycling. PRECYCLING is a concept that prevents waste by reducing, reusing and buying consciously. By precycling we can minimise the amount of waste we create, conserve resources and save money. A major precycling concept of ECO Home & Body is the bulk liquid cleaning products - BYO bottles to refill your cleaning products with high quality, yummy smelling products.
New products will be added to the range in the coming weeks to provide the best alternatives in healthy living for our homes, bodies and the enviornment. Emma can be contacted on 0450 445 480 if you have any questions.
