Waring/Winter Sale with Music Come and join us at the Rain Moth Community Nursery sale, 2.00 - 3.30pm, Saturday 25 July in the community garden at Newlands Neighbourhood House (or inside if the weather dictates). The sale will be CASH ONLY

It may be cold, but the days are getting longer, and it's a great time of year for indigenous planting. As always, we'll have a big range of local, native plants for your nature strip or garden as well as edible seedlings and beneficial flowers, all for only a gold coin each.  The tables will be a bit more spread out this time to give everyone some more space to browse and chat. We will have music from DJ On Milk, and you can take time to enjoy some books on plants, wildlife, First Nations culture, system change, and more from the new Rain Moth library collection.  Part of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to Grandmothers Against Removal (GMAR). GMAR Victoria draws on the wisdom, strength and compassion of Aboriginal grandmas and aunties to support children and their families at risk of separation. Pots If you have bought plants from us before, please return our pots at the sale. Especially the little tubes - they are hard to find! We use the small pots to help to reduce the use of plastic and potting mix. We reuse all of our pots where possible, which is much less energy intensive than recycling pots. And it helps us save money too. Thanks so much!

Plant Sale with Music Come and join us at the Rain Moth Community Nursery sale, 10 - 11.30am, Sunday 26 April in the community garden at Newlands Neighbourhood House (or inside if the weather dictates). The sale will be CASH ONLY

DJ Abantiades will play some low-key disco/funk/house/electronic tunes to soundtrack the morning in the garden. We will have a great range of seedlings for your autumn/winter edible garden, indigenous plants for the start of the planting season and beneficial flowers, all for only a gold coin each.  A small selection of the plants we have include: Turmeric, parsley, dill, coriander, chervil and Vietnamese mint Snow peas, peas and broad beans Broccolini, beetroot and celery Lots of leafy greens - rocket, corn salad, silverbeet, spinach and lettuces Aquilegias, hollyhocks and sweet peas  Windmill grass, native orchids, murnongs, bulbine lilies, swamp daisies, native flax, clematis Wattles (both shrubs and trees), golden tips, bottlebrushes, sheoaks and lots more... We are looking forward to our very first sale, this Saturday 22 March, 2-4pm, in the beautiful Wayi Community Garden at Newlands Neighbourhood House, 20 Murray Rd, Coburg North (or inside if the weather dictates).

The sale will be CASH ONLY.

We have:

• Seedlings of edible plants and beneficial flowers for your autumn garden

• Herbs – parsley, coriander, dill

• Greens – chard, mixed brassicas (cabbage family)

• Garlic chives and perennial leeks

• Beetroot

• 1 beautiful feijoa thanks to one of our wonderful growers

• Flowers, including carnations, sweet peas, calendula, dahlias and aquilegia

• A small selection of indigenous plants (more to come next sale…)

• Glycine tabacina

• Pelargonium australe

• Enchylaena tomentosa

• Mixed grasses

• Seasonal seed packets

• And more…
