Mushroom Buckets

Hey MycoFriends!

Coming up in November we have some delicious Yellow Oysters. If you're keen to get into the mushroom-in-a-bucket-at-home caper it's very easy;

We give you a bucket at the point of 'pinning', you spray it down twice a day, keep in a dark spot, and soon you'll get the first of a few 'flushes' of delicious oyster mushrooms to cut off and eat!

The photos attached show you how easy it is to get delicious mushrooms at home, great for teaching the kids about food and growing.

The best bit is the bucket gets returned and recycled into the next round! If you want to sign up for the next batch ready to pick up from central Preston in early November, send us a message and we'll pop you on the list! $50 for all this? Don't miss out!

Food Drive

LOCAL ASRC FOOD DRIVE!

We are collecting food donations for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre from now until the 20th December. We would love your support!

A Food Drive is a really practical way to support people seeking asylum. The Foodbank relies on the community to keep it going. 90% of all the food they provide is donated by the community and these donations provide essential food for over 700 people seeking asylum each week. 

Please read the list of top 10 items needed and if you would like to participate, drop your donations to 31 McGowan Avenue, Preston. If no one is home donations can be left on doorstep. Any donation large or small is welcome!

We look forward to delivering another HUGE car load to the ASRC before Christmas!
