I have found the most amazing op shop on Oakover Road, Preston. All proceeds go to the BEST causes. And it's HUGE!

I bought this stunning hand blown vase for $8!!

And these rather spiffy brand new bar stools for $90 (the lot)!!!

Monday morning Meditation - 9:30 am

(bring a yoga mat)

Hopefully much more - like musical jams & craft afternoons, plant cutting & creating workshops, dance arvo Fridays and pop markets, poetry evenings, book club/philosophy meetings & random cook ups by candlelight.

These are some of the rather excellent suggestions.

Just need to get some table & chairs but it's open to suggestions through the letterbox slot in the Sometimes door.

I'll pop a calendar of activity in the window once it all starts rolling & up date the Newlands News as things progress.

It's all yours people of the north..

Goodbye Sometimes

Dear Newlanders,

Sometime's has closed it's doors for now, with a possible re-opening in the not too distant future.

We'll be open for a final Sunday session this Sunday 29/11 from 12pm - 7pm. Come on down for cheap drinks within walking distance home as we seek to clear our stock.  BYO vinyl or mp3 and play us your favourite songs.

'Sometimes' is closing - would it suit you?‏

Dear Newlanders,

Though it feels like we were just getting started, 'Sometimes', our occasional bar and cafe, will soon be closing its doors.  

We are expecting another baby in the new year and have decided to focus our energy on our family.

We are seeking expressions of interest from anyone keen to run the venue or start something new and perhaps commit more time to it than we can. It has everything you would need for a food, music, or drink venue including commercial beer system, espresso machine, fridges, commercial oven and dishwasher, lighting etc, plus great regulars ;)  There are current liquor and food licences as well. Acoustic tiles have been installed on the ceiling to improve sound quality in the space.

The house at the rear/ upstairs is two bedrooms with BIRs, kitchen/living, bathroom, toilet, study nook and courtyard with rear access.
