Looking for Long-Term Rental Property

I've had a very happy & long-term (almost 24yrs!) tenancy in my current place in Preston. Regrettably, due to recent and sad unforeseen events within the owner’s family, they are needing to regain the use of my place.

 

I’d really like to remain within the same area if possible. So I'm on the search for something like a two bedroom house or unit in the Preston/Thornbury/Coburg areas. Preferably close to tram and/or train, and with off-street parking. Need room for a piano (and/or maybe a small study), also wanting some small private garden area. 

I have a deadline of mid-April, but I would like to find somewhere sooner rather than later, so as not to prolong the uncertainty on my part, as well as for the owners who have been exceptionally good to me over my tenancy.

We are a family of 4 desperately seeking a long-term rental in the area (Coburg, Coburg Nth, Preston, Res).

We have 5 weeks to vacate our current rental where we have lived for the last 10yrs as it has been deemed unsafe due to some roofing issues. Time is running out with no success through the usual channels so we're throwing it out to the local community.

At this stage we are willing to look at anything as long as it has 3 bedrooms, some outdoor space and rent up to $550/week. Private rental would be a dream (I'm really done with unethical real estate agents) or even a lease transfer.

 

We are caring tenants who take pride in the place we live, love gardening, and are actively involved in our local community. My children attend Newlands primary so it's really important to us to stay local.
