Period Packs

Untitled-2

2022 Period Project Donation Drive for National Homeless collective

We’re desperate for more period products. We make up to 300 Period Packs on an average week to support people experiencing period poverty. Our Period Packs go all over the country, even into remote Indigenous communities where it is almost impossible to find period products.

But we have a huge problem. We have completely run out of products to make up our Period Packs. So, we’re doing a snap end-of-financial year donation drive and we need your help.

$5 buys a period pack for a person experiencing homelessness.

$60 provides menstrual management support for an entire year for someone unable to afford menstrual hygiene care.

$100 provides 6 months of Period Packs plus an Essentials bag with clothing, underwear, bras, socks, and toiletries in a gorgeous tote bag for women experiencing homelessness and domestic violence.

We’re aiming big! We want our first three months of the new financial year to be worry-free for those we support and for us. We desperately need your help to make that happen.

Please donate today by making a much needed financial donation. All donations over $2 are tax deductible. https://www.nhcollective.org.au/

Or, perhaps join in with some friends or workmates and organise a donation of Period Products for our donation drive? We’re having a drop off day on July 9th at our warehouse in Airport West 6/55 Parer Road Airport West from 10am to 2pm!

It is only with your help that we can help people experiencing Period Poverty. We can't do this without you. Thank you for helping us help others.

Climate Change Petition

Untitled-2

There's no question that climate change was the defining issue of this year's federal election, but that's not where our fight ends. We’ve got a long way to go with the Albanese government still charging ahead with opening new gas mines.

Climate action must be the top priority of this new government - and that means ruling out fossil fuel expansion and putting the solutions to the climate crisis back in the hands of First Nations people who have been living sustainably on this land for over 60,000 years.

But climate action isn't enough - we must fight for a better future for us all and that means fighting for climate justice. Earlier this year at our Seed Summit, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people united with a vision for a more just and sustainable future and developed our Heal Country Declaration.

We’re calling on you to stand with us in solidarity and sign our declaration demanding:

  1. No more public money handouts to fossil fuel corporations. These handouts are an insult to Traditional Owners in the Northern Territory and First Nations communities right across the continent who spend everyday fighting back against the dangerous fossil fuel industry.
  2. Instead, public money should be invested into our communities and our futures. Public money is meant for public good, not to line the pockets of fossil fuel executives. With real investment into our communities and futures, we can see a just transition towards renewable energy, with First Nations leadership at the front.
  3. First Nations people should be leading the solutions to the climate crisis. We should be given the power and self determination to care for our land, our Country and our people our way - just like we have, sustainably for 60,000+ years without the colony’s interference.

Sign on to join the call to Heal Country and we’ll ensure our political leaders hear us loud and clear!

It’s never been more urgent to step up and come together. Our communities are already feeling the impacts of the climate crisis; from rising sea levels, devastating floods and extreme bushfires.

While young First Nations people are fed up with the way our political leaders are addressing the climate crisis, we also know how powerful we can be when we have people just like you standing shoulder to shoulder with us.
