Well, Winter is well and truly here! Waring Season is finishing up soon, and we've had so much fun staying warm and cosy with you in the houses π‘
We learned all about the funghi of the merri merri with Dr. Sapphire, sang songs at Little Seeds Playgroup, dusted off our sewing machines for the Saturday Sewcial and gathered a lot of amazing information from you about what you'd like to see at NECCHi as we develop our new strategy!
We're so excited to announce our new program - Guling/Poorneet, or Orchid & Tadpole Season! In the Wurundjeri seasons, Guling (July/August) is when the cold weather begins to ease, wattle and orchids start to bloom and those male koalas start looking for a mate. Poorneet (Sept/Oct) is tadpole season, so there is lots of rain but its getting warmer, yam daisies are flowering, and days and nights are of equal length πΈ
Never fear - this program still has a bunch of NECCHi Classics™️ (MakeDo Playgroup, Intermediate Tai Chi, All Welcome Garden Group) but we've got some really exciting new additions to the pack!
π₯¦π
πππ₯π§π₯ We've partnered with Feed You Farm & Friends to bring fresh veggie bags to Newlands... that's right - on Fridays you can collect beautiful fresh produce grown on Wurundjeri land direct from the neighbourhood house❗️
There are 2 prices for the bags: a $30 waged bag & $10 sponsored bag and you can also pay a bag forward - how wonderful! Head here to find out more and nab some beautiful fresh produce. π₯¦π

We've also got a brand new Vinyasa Yoga class on Thursday evenings, some Gentle Play Afternoons with NECCHi fave Rose, an Intro to Drawing & Painting class with Sofia and heaps more.
Check out our website for the full list of offerings and as always, sponsored places for all our programs are available - just email programs@necchi.org and we'll send you the code.
We can't wait to see you at one of our programs soon π |
