Two new opportunities for the Moreland community!

NECCHi has been working in partnership with a range of great organisations to launch two new projects in Moreland.

The Build Back Better Moreland Citizens' Assembly is an opportunity for Moreland residents to share their vision for the future of Moreland beyond COVID-19 and this project needs your voice - see below for more details.

We also have an opportunity to get some free plants that will help to support the beautiful Blue Banded Bee - links to sign up are below.

Help shape the future of Moreland

You're invited to the Build Back Better Moreland Citizens' Assembly

A Citizens' Assembly is a community-based initiative to create
a representative group of Moreland’s diverse communities.

The assembly will respond to the question:
What do you want local government to do to build an inclusive, safe and fair society?
Participants will meet on:
  • Friday 27th November 2020 (6.30pm-8.30pm)
  • Saturday 28th November 2020 (9am-12pm & 2pm-5pm)
To be eligible for selection you will need to be able to attend both sessions.
All assembly participants will receive $100 as a thank you for your participation.

Deadline for registering your interest is 9th November.
Register at www.sortitionfoundation.org/necchi_2020 or Freephone 1800 979 787

You can find more information here.

The BBB Sitters Club

Today is the launch of a new project to help support the native Blue Banded Bee!

The BBB-Sitters Club is providing the community with free native plants so we can create a corridor of food and habitat in Moreland for native pollinators like the Blue-Banded Bee, one of the important residents of the Merri Creek.

How can I bee-involved?

Sign up here: https://bit.ly/314umru and we will send you out all the information you need along with information to collect your six free native plants.

We hope you are as excited to get involved as we are! Let us know if you have any questions or queries at manager@necchi.org
