This Thursday the 23rd and 30th of Oct we will be making the very sweet Mountain Pigmy Possum at my Thursday morning craft sessions with mums and kids. This original design from my endangered Australian animal series uses my hand dyed 100% wool felt and wool stuffing. Enjoy a cup of tea and some inspiring crafty womens’ company. Beginners and children welcome!
At 10am - 12 pm  
Cost $40 for 2 sessions, $10 materials.
BYO morning tea for the children.

Spring Crowns - Thursday Craft Sessions  with Nikki Fletcher.

Create a beautiful spring crown from natural sustainable materials for your child to dress up in or wear to a special birthday celebration. We will use a thick 100% wool felt crown base that is hand dyed in a variety of spring colours to choose from. Using Australian wild flowers and insects for inspiration we will decorate the crown using simple needle felting and stitching techniques. Beautiful hand dyed rainbow coloured 100% wool felt will also inspire the creation of a unique crown made by hand, by you!

All materials provided. Beginners and children welcome!

Sept 18th. 10am -12.30.  BYO morning tea for kids.

$25 (regulars/concession) plus materials $15

My name is Nikki Fletcher and I am passionate about inspiring mums creativity in the early childhood years.  

You are invited to come and join our Tuesday morning craft sessions at my craft studio in Preston.

Over two sessions, the 12^th and 19^th August. We will making this magical tree house,

home to the animals of the bush. This craft project includes needle felting, wet felting and hand sewing. The materials used are 100% wool and felt, hand dyed by me.

Tuesday morning Craft Sessions

Dear crafty families,

Autumn is here and the sun is shining its last rays of beautiful warm colours to remind us it will return in spring.

Four more Tuesdays craft sessions resume this Tuesday May 6^th 13^th 20^th and 27th .

10am -12.30pm at my home craft studio space in Preston with cups of tea.

We will be making a beautiful acorn necklace for mothers day (and a special acorn necklace for the children) in the first week and the second week we will be wet felting an autumn candle holder mat for the table .

The third week we will be in making a sweet little autumn garden gnome or fairy doll dressed in felt clothes then the 4^th week we will finish up with needle felting beautiful autumn pumpkins .

$15 a session plus materials ( under $5 ) x 4 weeks $60 ($30 deposit).

Drop in class $20 plus materials ( under $5).

Tuesday Morning Craft Sessions

My name is Nikki Fletcher and I have been teaching craft since 2005.

I am passionate about inspiring mums creativity in the early childhood years.

In the first session we will be making Mother Duck and or Clucky Hen.

The second session we will complete their wing pouches and make their 5 little ducklings/chicks.

The third session we will needle felt their nest and the final session we will makes some felted easter eggs and talk about the Easter festival in the Southern Hemisphere!

Knitting assistance.

Hi. 

I've just started knitting again after a hiatis of 22 years. I'm knitting a jumper for my son Jack to take on his travels to Russia at the end of the year. The pattern has a cable in it and I was wondering if there is anyone in the neighbourhood that I could check with that I am going about things in the right way. SCHOOL HOLIDAY FELTING WORKSHOP FOR KIDS
(Special INTRODUCTORY Offer to friends and community)
For Ages 7-12 yr olds
Come along to our home based workshop and learn how to make felt. You will learn how to create a basic set up for felting at home.
All materials will be supplied and you will take home your own felt scarf to wear for winter!

SCHOOL HOLIDAY SCREEN PRINTING WORKSHOP FOR TWEENS
(Special INTRODUCTORY Offer to friends and community)
For Ages 10-15 yr olds

Come along to our home based workshop and learn the basics of screen printing. You will learn how to create a basic hand cut stencil & then print onto your own t-shirt, hoodie or tea towels.
All screen printing materials will be supplied and you will take home your own design, screen printed on the garment of your choice.
Dates currently available: Fri 6th July & Thurs 12th July, 2012
Time: 10am – 1pm & 2pm - 5pm
Cost: $55 - all screen printing materials incl., bring your own t-shirt, hoodie or tea towels. Location: Northcote

Sit’n’Sew group

There is a Sit’n’Sew group that is very small (currently 3-4 people!) that is held on a Wednesday evening.

Any sewing project is welcome whether it be Quilting, Dressmaking, Toy making, children’s clothes…it is a nice place to sit and sew free of distraction J

The space is large and well lit, there are good size tables, cutting mats and rulers and a limited number of sewing machines and irons available.

The lady who runs it is named Sue and she is happy to help people out with their activities if needed.

Where: GJ’s Discount Fabrics, Lygon St Brunswick

Day: Wednesday evening

Time 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Cost: $10
