Dog Walker

Untitled-2

Hello,

Does anyone have a recommendation for a dog walker. Preferably a local, as it’s a regular well paid  lunchtime type gig. Need to be confident with a big (gorgeously friendly and loving) dog.
Let us know.

Doggy Tinder

Untitled-2

Hello Neighbours:

Does anyone have or know of a whole male dog who they'd like to mate with our lovely heeler? She has just gone on heat so will be ready to accept a male in about a week.

We'd preferably like to mate her with a red or blue heeler, but a kelpie or hound would be suitable too. A nice nature is the main thing.

Let me know. No strings attached but you can have one of the pups if you want!

Dogsitter Needed

Untitled-2

We have a beautiful greyhound called Kylie who needs some looking after over Christmas. We are happy to have a nearly teenager/teenager looking to earn some extra bucks over Christmas or if you feel you need some exercise and some greyhound loving and you’re not a teenager, then that is fine as well.

It would be for 5/6 days and we’re happy to have her stay here if you want to drop over and do the looking after or she can come to your house. Warning accompanied, she’s a digger, so if you have a beautiful garden, you don’t want this pooch over for a lengthy stay. She’s a beautiful dog but every piece of beauty comes at a price, I believe she likes to aerate the soil, could be anxiety but it could just be good old fashioned dog fun!

If you’re at all interested and fancy also chucking our chooks some food as well, let’s talk turkey (we don’t have one of those, so you’re safe). Please call/text 0432 361 038 if you’re interested.

Dog sitter needed.

We need someone to look after our 7-year-old whippet from 06.01.18 until 13.01.18. He enjoys an indoor/outdoor lifestyle and has a lovely temperament. He sustained an injury to his back leg a couple of months ago and is independent but needs a bit of extra attention.

Dog

Untitled-2

I've noticed several of these signs on the new black bridge on the Merri Creek near the soccer field. It warns of a dangerous dog that has attacked people in the area recently. I chatted to someone passing by the sign and they said they'd been confronted by the dog about a month ago. I've also sighted it but not been approached by it.

I am not sure how old the sign is, or if the problem has been resolved, but thought it was worth sharing with the community...

Dog Sitting

Untitled-2

Hi Folks,

We have a very cute King Charles Spaniel (Charlie) and we are going camping from 7th to 21st of Jan - so getting in early to see if anyone would like to have him for a couple of weeks.

He is eight years old, is obedient, quiet, house trained, good with kids, hopeless at tricks and won't play fetch.  He is very loyal and friendly. He likes a walk everyday, but he gets by without one.  He gets on well with other dogs and doesn't bother the chickens.

Cheers,

Ashley

My wife found this little girl last night near Jackson Parade and Boyne Street. No collar or ID.

The lost dogs home in North Melbourne collected her the same night.

So if you recognise her or know the owner please pass on.

Hi - I'm hoping someone might be able to babysit our 8 year old King Charles cavalier - Charlie.

From this Wednesday 14th September, until morning of Friday 23rd.

He's very well behaved and basically sleeps.  He's very friendly - he's just been clipped and looks super cute!

Happy to pay $50 if that helps!.

Thanks Ash.

Assistance Puppy

Untitled-2

Hello All.

I'm writing to ask for your help re-homing Lola, an assistance dog puppy in training. She is a lovely 7 month old golden retriever from the Assistance Dogs Australia association. If you are interested you would need to apply to the organisation in order to come on board officially as a 'puppy educator'. In the short term, if you think you could take her temporarily, we are looking for a puppy sitter from 16-27 Jan. We are very sad about this because we love Lola but are unable to keep her any longer. All food and meds/vet provided. Some bedding and toys also available.
Please enquire to Carla 0423 178 269.

For more info on the organisation who looks after her see: http://www.assistancedogs.org.au

Dog Bait

Untitled-2

Apparently a dog bait has been found down at the Edgars Creek waterhole.

I didn't see it myself but apparently it was wire with food wrapped in silver packing tape. So dog lovers keep your eyes peeled!

Dogs

Untitled-2

Hi there,

I volunteer for a non profit organization Hear No Evil Deaf Dogs Australia we rescue and rehome Deaf dogs and cats Australia wide.
I'm currently fostering this beautiful pure American Staffy. We are calling her Ghost for now. She's a lovely 16 week old puppy who's very affectionate and loyal. She's strong and excited as puppies are but doesn't bite only licks lots and jumps up. We are in the process of training her while we have her using signs.
If you are interested in adopting her contact Hear No Evil and a meet an greet can be arranged. HNE are very supportive and can provide support with the dog for the duration of the dogs life. If you have any questions about Ghost or becoming a foster carer please contact them via their Facebook page. Alternatively, if you don't Facebook send me an email and I can forward you their contact details.

Thanks Claire.

Adopt Me

Untitled-2

Hi there,

My name is Kite, I'm a 13 week old liver spotted Dalmatian. I am a good girl. I'm Deaf and use signs for commands.

I am available for adoption through a non profit organisation called Hear No Evil, who rescue and re-home deaf dogs and cats all over Australia. If you aren't interested in the commitment of a dog maybe you can be a foster carer? It's fun and easy to do.

Contact Hear No Evil for more information.

We are in desperate need of more foster carers in Victoria. If you'd like to ask my foster family for info or just how it works for them you can email claire.b.s.13@gmail.con

Lots of love.
Woof.

Dog Minder Needed

Untitled-2

Dear Newlanders,

Did you always wanted a dog, but didn’t want the long-term commitment? Do you need a buddy to go jogging with you during those dark winter evenings, or, do you have a teen, who would love to make some extra pocket money?

This is Chobi a five year old Kelpie X Boarder Collie. He needs a home to stay while my in-laws are away for three months.

He is very, very friendly and good natured (yes, all dog owners say that, but he actually doesn't belong to me and I can vouch for him). He is amazing around kids. My daughter grew up with him, but unfortunately recently developed a dog allergy, which means he cannot stay with us this time around.

Chobi loves to fetch ball. His owners take him on approx. one hour walks every night, but it’s up to you how you manage it, as long as he gets his walk.

At his home he is purely an outside dog (but I am sure he would also be very, very happy to stay inside, if you’d prefer that). His owners will provide the food for him, which means the $250 will go straight into your pocket and you get that one hour exercise on top of it. Win-Win :)

If you are interested in taking care of Chobi for three months from July until September, feel free to email Anna onanna.lemcke@hotmail.com or call/text 0430 707 207.
