Have you ever wondered how artists and exhibitions are selected at the Counihan Gallery In Brunswick? Join Gallery Curator Victor Griss who will take you through the history and profile of the gallery, presenting professional exhibitions, the exhibition application and assessment process, and putting together an application that gives you the best chance of being shortlisted as part of an annual exhibition program. Learn from the experts! Crowdfunding is about building your fan base, breaking away from gatekeepers and getting that cash to help make your passion project become a reality. We will be offering advice on how to plan your project, tips for running your campaign, and pretty much everything you need to know to drop a successful campaign on Pozible, including: building a social media presence; putting together the content for your project; making a promotional video; choosing rewards. There will also be a chance to pitch your idea! All it takes is 30 seconds - take the plunge and pitch your concept to the audience. Great if you're looking for feedback, or hoping to attract collaborators and like-minds! Spots are limited so make sure to sign up at the beginning of the night.

Whether your project is a small community festival or a large scale event, this session will cover all the ingredients you need to put together the perfect event including planning, project management, administration, marketing and programming. If you are a performing artist you will also gain tips on how to be seen by event organisers and get yourself programmed for festival and events, through learning timing schedules and access points. Join industry experts Marcia Ferguson, Artistic Director of the Big West Festival 2012-1016 and Freelance Director Ian Pidd, who founded and co-directed the successful series of Village festivals.
Creative Approaches to Inclusive Arts Practice

Are you an independent artist who works or who aspires to work inclusively? Do you work with a diverse range of communities? Artists in these scenarios often end up playing several roles both consciously and unconsciously. This hands-on workshop will break down all the roles, look at communication strategies, explore power dynamics and offer practical tools in how to plan, navigate and deliver projects in inclusive and creative ways.
