Rustic charm in the heart of the Strzelecki range’s Mirboo North; an apex for exploring or just chilling out.

Just two hours from Melbourne, Mirboo North is a lovely little town with access to the beautiful Prom Coast. Just 30 mins to Inverloch beach and 50 mins to both Cape Paterson and Sandy Point beaches.

With lovely views out the back over the Strzelecki ranges, the simple four-bedroom home accommodates those looking for a quiet retreat. Whether it be with family, friends, or lovers, the nature of the home can be adjusted to suit your needs.

The living room, kitchen, and bathroom are warmed by a large Nectre Wood Heater. Wood is provided.

 

The bathroom is blessed with an ample bath for independent relaxing or couples gaming; we prefer backgammon.

A stroll in the rolling light to the main road is three minutes.

 

Here, you are greeted with the simple needs of retreat life, with the Strzelecki Bakery, Foodworks, a nursery, Lamezleigh’s Café, the Mirboo North Hotel, Grand Ridge Brewery, and other businesses– that include an op-shop, a cop shop and an antique shop - satisfying the rural inquisition.

 

Short drives to Mossvale Park, Lyrebird Walk, Turton’s Falls, Minnehaha Falls and Morewell River Falls Reserve and the 13KM Grand Ridge Trail to Boolarra, where you can walk, ride, jog, or meander under the canopy of the verdant bush, is at the home’s doorstep.

 

The house is located within walking distance to Mirboo North’s mind-blowingly awesome public outdoor pool, freshly laid tennis courts, and the beautiful Baromi park, replete with monstrous slide, engaging playground, and a SKATE PARK(!!).

 

Free from the trappings of technology, the home comes with some board games, books, and space for your imagination. BYO portable speakers for beats and aural ambiance beyond the strains of quiet country life.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome!

Lots of availability including Labour day long weekend and school holidays.

Cost:

$140 per night for up to two adults (kids under 12 free)

$50 extra per night for each extra adult.

Prom Coast Food Collective

Orders OPEN!   All the Pastured Pork! Amber Creek Farm produce Gippsland grown, pasture raised pigs.    They grow a variety of heritage breed, pigs which means they are equipped for outdoor life and are vigorous foragers.  Their pigs live as pigs are meant to. This means curly tails, all of their teeth, and no nose rings so they are free to dig as they wish.  They do not use chemicals, hormones, and are GMO free.  Amber Creek’s pigs live outdoors for the entirety of their life span. This means that their sows are free to roam and the growers are all kept outdoors on pasture and provided with portable “arks” for shelter.

L2P - Female Mentors Needed

The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) L2P Program is a community-based program developed to assist eligible young Victorian learner drivers between the ages of 16 and 21 years (and in some circumstances, up to 23 years) who do not have access to a supervising driver, or an appropriate vehicle gain driving experience required for a probationary licence. 

The Merri-bek L2P program is looking for female mentors to meet the needs of our community. Many young female learner drivers prefer learning from a female mentor.
