Wildfowers and Thatching at the Murnong Patch
This is some of what what we've got!
So to plant some Riceflowers and to do thatching (could be fun!), join us at the Murnong Patch between the Merri trail and Connolly Avenue, South of Murray Road, Saturday 1st of July, 1 to 3 pm.
Car for Hire
If anyone in the 'hood is thinking about a trip these school holidays, or just needs a car for short trips here and there, we have listed our ford focus sedan on Car Next Door, here in Newlands.
You can hire it for $25 a day or $5/hr plus 33c per km (though we pay for the fuel). There is a baby seat and booster seat if you need them, or you can take them out and have the back seat free. There's no need to coordinate keys - it's all done via the website - so you can grab it any time any day if it's listed as free.
It has just been serviced and is running beautifully - though you'll be covered by insurance and roadside assist like any other hire car. Please take her out, because otherwise she is wasted on us!

NDIS
The NDIS rolls out in Hume and Moreland in March 2018. These free information sessions cover:
· What you need to know about the roll-out of the NDIS in Hume and Moreland.
· NDIS, the basics: what it is, who can benefit, what it funds and how it works.
· Hear from people who have transitioned to the NDIS.
· An opportunity to ask questions, both personal and technical.
· An opportunity to raise your concerns and relevant issues to refine what information Councils need to provide the community.
Residents of Moreland and Hume are invited to attend any one of these sessions.
