She is the last of our flock and we are hoping to give her to a family with chooks.
She is a few years old, is grey in colour and her name is Violet.
She is not currently laying but her loneliness may have something to do with this.

Flooring Recommendation

Recently I put the word out about a recommendation for sanding and polishing our floors. I got an overwhelming response about a lovely fellow called David Atherton.

He just completed our floors and did such a great job that I want to share his details with you all! Not only did he do a great job, he was lovely to work with and he's a local!!!

Coburg Senior High School Expansion: Tour Tuesday 10 December

Here in Coburg a local year seven transition option in 2015 is getting much closer to a reality!

High School for Coburg continue to work with the Coburg Senior High School (CSHS) - attending CSHS Community Consultation Subcommittee meetings and assisting with promotion. For example we were able to help the CSHS get a story in this week's  Moreland Leader, page 11 of the 2 Dec issue to promote the upcoming 10 Dec tour and report on recent progress. A great result!

If you are interested in Coburg High as a Year 7 option from 2015  please consider coming to the tour on Tuesday 10 Dec at 6 pm. There will be a free BBQ provided - including salad and veggie burgers and the school cafe will be open for coffee and drinks.

Space Available?

Fellow Newlanders!

We are in the happy position of having a bunch of family coming to stay at Christmas but have only a small place. If you are going to be away over this period ( 26th -12th) and happen to need to leave your place vacant, we would be delighted to keep an eye on your place and utilise some overflow.

Our mob include, one very recent arrival, some independent adults and a couple of kids.  So any configuration of these might benefit from some space over the holiday period.

We would be happy to make any contribution to pets, gardens etc that might help others too.

So if you think you may have some vacant space I'd be happy to discuss our bonafides, references etc.
