STRENGTHS-BASED PARENTING WORKSHOPS - Nov/Dec
Following the success of the recent workshops, I'm running my Strengths Based Parenting Workshops for the last time in 2016. So come along if you want to kick off your Christmas holidays and 2017 with a new set of parenting skills which can help you increase your child’s resilience and your confidence as a parent, as well as help your child discover who they are at their best. Help them harness their positivity to build skills for the future and teach them a mindset that cultivates a hunger for learning rather than a need for perfection and approval.

Friends of the Forest
Newlands Friends of the Forest
First thank you for all who supported 'Good Wood and Proper Paper'. It was, because of all of your support and interest, and our wonderful presenters Ben Campbell and Dr Chris Taylor a successful and interesting evening. Sorry to those who missed out as we were booked out the day before the event... you are more than welcome to participate in some other activities...
Following from the evening we are participating in this Rally all are welcome
Tuesday 6 pm (this evening)
Steps of Victorian Parliament
We are Meeting at 5pm on the corner of Murray & Gilbert Rds to catch the # 11 tram.
On the evening we met some of the great people behind the important Bunnings campaign (Bunnings are selling our critically endangered Mountain Ash) so encourage you to sign the partition - as Bunnings are paying attention to it ... over 16,000 have signed in the last few weeks ... & we need to keep the pressure up.
We learnt on the evening from Chris that the only certification for wood and paper products that has a meaning in Australia is FSC - and while there are problems with it - it is the best we have . So please do buy your wood and paper products FSC accredited, (basically forget the larger other green wash signers on products).

Thank You again wonderful Newlands Community
Cath and Julie
