Friends of Edgars Creek Planting!

Untitled-2
Hi Friends and members,

I am writing to let you know we are planting again this Sunday from the usual time 1-3PM.
We are working at the Caravan Park site again (go left at the end of Elizabeth St and follow the creek [and FoEC signs downstream around to the back of the Big 4 caravan park).

This planting is sponsored by a (Vic)Department of Sustainability & Environment - Communities for Nature Grant. Thanks DSE! It has a focus of protection and enhancement of an area of remnant vegetation including trees, shrubs, grasses and rushes - not something we find a lot of on our end of the creek!

As usual Rob and I will be on site from around 10.30-11.00 AM and all are welcome to come along earlier and assist with set-up of the planting and other tasks (good for those who can't hang around in the afternoon or have other commitments to get to!).

The forecast is looking OK - 14 degrees, only a slight chance of scattered showers.
Don't forget that our calendar of events is complete for 2013 and is available on the website.
See you on the creek!

Kind regards,
David Pavone
President FoEC.
