Recent Burglaries in the Area

Hi folks,
Just a reminder to be vigilant about securing your homes from thieves that appear to be active in the Newlands area at the moment. Both my friend's house and my house have been burgled in the last 2 weeks (Jacka St and Hosken St) with cash, jewellery, iPads and computers taken. Both were daytime break-ins while the houses were empty for a few hours, and in both cases side gates were used to gain access to the properties, and a window and lock were broken to get into the house.
Get to know your neighbours, swap numbers if you feel comfortable, and keep an eye out for anything 'not quite right' in the neighbourhood.

    Probably the same thieves who stole our motorbike 2 nights ago! Anyone know of people fixing up motorbikes and cars in their home? They probably stole our bike for parts. If you could help, we'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks
