Newlands Gardens Food Swap

Untitled-2
For those who know my penchant for snail collection (for my chooks at this stage) the weather has just been grand for that. So no excuses that you've got nothing to swap - just get snail hunting!!!!
For those who may believe that yours is bigger than mine ........ I'll bring my biggest sunflower head so you can compare! and seeds of.
Other stuff I plan to bring:
- Sweet peas seedlings I've transplanted coz they self-seeded in all sort of unsuitable spots like paths.
- Tahitian limes
- Lemon Verbena before it drops its leaves.
- Seeds (variety of)
- Maybe some eggs but the girls are slacking of, it's autumn after all.
- Very likely a tray of wheat grass to juice. If i get access to a powerpoint, i can also do a show and tell of the craft I do with the left over fibre - Yep, swapping food and kitchen tricks also count! Still saying you've got nothing to swap? Anyway, you can still come for a neighbourly chat.
- Columbine flowers seedlings - varied colours - What, would the smart people of Newlands say, tis not a food! Well it is garden related  and if it gets me food, it's all good!

- Organic garlic gloves that sprouted in my fridge, why would they go to waste when they just yearning to be planted?

If someone has a cutting of a prostrate rosemary, that'd be grand. Kale seedlings would be cool too.

Reminders: Yes there is a plan B under a carport if weather was to be not so good. There are pots, potting mix and rooting hormones to strike cuttings, so bring some. It is at
 Hutchinson Place, this sunday, 2-3.
Yes I know I did say 1 to 3 but made a mistake!!! An hour is plenty to swap. You can always stay behind (or before?) to socialise.
See you there!

Pascale
