Presentation - Using Mindfulness in Adventure and the Outdoors
An informative and practical evening for learning and sharing. The term mindfulness is a commonly used word these days, yet what does it really mean and what could it have to do with Bush Adventure therapy? In this session you will get a practical and useful definition of mindfulness and we will briefly discuss its benefits. Mindfulness can be applied to almost any task in any situation and can be particularly useful in building a connection with nature and the outdoor world. The presenters will lead you through some practical applications for using mindfulness in nature and the outdoors. There will also be an opportunity for sharing and discussion on how you and other practioners use mindfulness in your work and / or how you think you could add mindfulness to your toolkit in the big outdoors.
