Hello Friends,
We have a non-planting activity on this Sunday - the calendar had no details of this event at the time our calendar was distributed so I can now confirm the following:
Sunday 21 June 1-3 PM we will be gathered around the Ronald Street area.
From 1-2.00 PM we have the pleasure of Judy Allen, who produced the video Seeding the Future which focuses on indigenous plant propagation, taking us on a talking tour to pass on some of her wealth of knowledge of our indigenous plants, how to identify them and collection of seed for propagation.
From 2-2.30 Irene Baker, our regular water watch coordinator will be running a water watch session exploring water quality and aquatic microorganisms.
From 2-30 to 3.00 (or earlier if you like) we will also have a "potting up" process underway where tube stock (our regular size plants) will be potted up so that we can plant some mature stock over the 2016 planting season.
As usual we will have our catering table set up. Kids, dogs, families and friends are all welcome. The forecast looks cool but DRY, some cloud and thirteen degrees.
I look forward to seeing you on the creek!
Regards,
David Pavone.
President, FoEC.
