Community Meeting

Untitled-2

Dear Brunswick Residents Group,

For your reference, Independent Ministerial Advisory Committee members Ms Penny Armytage and Ms Jane Brockington look forward to meeting with the community in Coburg, and surrounding suburbs, to discuss the public inquiry into the Environment Protection Authority (EPA).

Local residents, business and government representatives, community advocacy groups and volunteers will be consulted via a public forum this Monday, 21 September, from 5.30-7.30pm at:

Moreland Civic Centre
Coburg Concert Hall
90 Bell Street
Coburg

Ms Armytage and Ms Brockington seek to gather insights from the community and key stakeholders to inform their examination into the changing operating environment for the EPA. This includes new and emerging environmental challenges and public health concerns, as well as evolving expectations about the best way to combine environment protection with economic viability and improved regulatory efficiency.

Please refer to this link for detailed information about the Inquiry and to view the Terms of Reference: http://www.epa-inquiry.vic.gov.au/.

Attached for your reference is a copy of the Media Release and Discussion Paper that you may like to circulate to your stakeholders in lieu of the public meeting on Monday 21 September.

Here is also a link to our website which lists the upcoming locations/dates for other public consultation sessions throughout the state as part of the Inquiry: http://getinvolved.epa-inquiry.vic.gov.au

Thank you for your time and we hope to welcome a representative from your organisation at the public consultation session on Monday evening.
