The not for profit venue Coburg RSL is proud to announce they are hosting Band Night #16 on Saturday 14 November. This month, Ashtray Boy will be launching their 10^thalbum 'Painted With the Mouth'. Come along and hear them play songs from the new album … and get a copy for take-aways! The Band Night series is kindly supported by the club in its efforts to survive without pokies revenue. The Coburg RSL invites everyone through their doors. Bring the kids, bring your Nan … it’s ALL ages at the Coburg RSL. Come and join the friendly staff/volunteers of the Coburg RSL wending us down a path full of happy surprises, not least of which is the 'Spam Raffle'. Check out this unique lineup of bands, not to be seen anywhere else … but Coburg!

ASHTRAY BOY - Making music under this moniker for nearly 30 years, Randall Lee fronts the band as a 4-piece for the launch of their 10^th album 'Painted With the Mouth'. This album is the culmination of aver 12 years of song-writing and recording. Released with the help of a GoFundMe campaign! Come and hear songs from the album up close and personal-like. Lineup on the night will be Lee (vocals, guitar), Carla Bruce-Lee of Cougar Vox – Grr! (bass, melodica), Paul Brannon of Chores/Mucca Pazza (drums) and for the first time also Stefan Schutt of Stavros Bros (2^nd guitar). MIA SCHOEN (solo) – Mia Schoen is adept at many talents (multi-instrumentalist, songwirter, painter, teacher) all rooted in a suburban realism. These days, Schoen has left the inner-city to set up home in the western suburbs, a landscape which continues to inspire her creative aesthetic. Even the name of one of her bands, New Estate, evokes this fascination with life beyond the rarefied environment of urban intellectuals and lifestyle poseurs. She's playing a solo set and will delight us with her ecclectic songs of freedom, friendship, love and life. Singing straight from the heart.
