Dear
Newlands
community,
Two visiting international Tibetan dance teachers will be
in Melbourne
next Sunday presenting contemporary Tibetan song and dance (called Khaita) in a free demonstration at Victoria Market.
In early December they will be leading fun, beginners workshops at Fleming Park Hall in Victoria St, East Brunswick. These are by donation so as to make them financially accessible to as many people as possible. It's a great way to support and join in the preservation of Tibetan culture in contemporary times.
Please
help spread the word to
anyone
who you
think
might
be
curious or
interested as the events are open to all. The
participatory
workshops are ideal for a
dults and children
over 12 years of age and are fun and energetic.
T
he
Victoria
Market demonstration will appeal to all ages
and is more about watching and enjoying rather than direct participation.
