Hi,
As part of my Shiatsu studies, I am required to give 30 Shiatsu
treatments independently.
For those of you who are unaware of Shiatsu and what it consists of:
I see Shiatsu as being a medical practice; similar in theoretical
foundations to acupuncture, but where my body is the primary tool of my
practice.
Treatments consist of an initial conversation about general health and
well-being, an hour of hands on practice, and a brief closing
conversation for feedback, suggestions, etc.
The 'hands on practice' involves lying on a futon fully clothed. There
is little skin to skin contact as I use fabric barriers for most
occasions that might necessitate skin to skin contact. I work very
intuitively. I am very sensitive to the energetics of a person's body. I
use quite a lot of acupressure points in my practice.
If there is any discomfort I am very willing to engage in conversation
to ensure that your experience is as enjoyable as possible. Any pain or
discomfort is contrary to my aims in practice.
There is no financial cost associated with these treatments.
All I require from you is punctuality, respect and patience.
The practice will be at the Australian Shiatsu College at 103 Evans St
in Brunswick (Very close to Lygon St near Glenlyon Rd).
My preferred times are:
Wednesday from about 3:15pm - 4:45.
Thursday from about 3:15pm - 4:45.
Other times are entirely possible requiring only extra patience as I
will need to co-ordinate with the availabilities of the College.
My email is roryshiatsu@riseup.net
I am also happy to call if you are wanting to have a conversation
prior (please either request my phone number via email or send me yours).
Warm Regards to you all,
Rory.
