CrowdSAUCING EVENT at Joe's Garden30th April 10am - 1pm 34 Edna Grove Coburg Corner Merri Creek and Harding St Swing Bridge FREE Come on down to Joe's Garden in the morning for a sauce making demonstration and discussion by Jean Garita. Meet members of the Garita family, talk community, see sauce getting made, ask questions and look out upon Farmer Vincenzo's and Farmer Emily's delicious fresh produce. Jean will be taking you step-by-step through the sauce making process and talking about the social side of the annual preserving event she has been apart of for over 70 years. In 2003 CERES began farming here under the guidance of Joe Garita, whose father bought the land in the late 1940's. The Merri Creek Market Garden is a certified organic farm growing organic herbs and vegetables for CERES Fair Food and the CERES Market.
