Very exciting news !!! Thank you all Newlanders who have participated in this :)

1.     The Kalatha Giant - a magnificent Mountain Ash in the Toolangi State forest has just been named the  inaugural Victorian Tree of the Year by the National Trust

2.     Come and see the Kalatha Giant on Sat 27th August.  Join The Wilderness Society campaigners and visit the majestic forests of Central Highlands  with a splendid tour of the areas to be in included in the Great Forest National Park. Travel by minibus - pay by donation.

3.  For those lucky people who are going to the Comedy Gala on Friday Two spots on the Toolangi Forest Tour will be up on the Newlands Comedy Gala Silent Auction   :)  :) Bid on two seats on the fabulous Toolangi Forest Tour by The Wilderness Society campaigners.
