We are so excited about our term one activities for kids of all ages!

East Coburg Community House | Weekly activities

Wednesdays
Multicultural Playgroup
12 – 2 pm
Play, art & craft activity group for women & children.
$2 per session

Thursdays
Kid’s After School Art:
Paint & Clay
4 – 5 pm
Come & play with clay to create your own characters that you can then paint to bring to life!
$80 ($64 conc.) inc. materials

Fridays
Inclusive Art Studio 
9.30 am – 12.30 pm
An ongoing supported studio workshop with professional outcomes for artists with disabilities.
Facilitated by local gallery curator & teacher Alister Karl.
$240 ($192 conc.)

Saturdays
Pipsqueak Music
10.30 – 11.30 am
Sing, move & play through fun musical activities. Suitable for children 18 months to 4 years-old.
$80 ($64 conc.) per family

Drumming for Kids:
5 to 12-year-olds
12.30 – 1.30 pm
Make & play your own instruments from recycled materials to learn how to play in an Afro-Caribbean drumming tradition.
$80 ($64 conc.)

Family Music

Everyone is musical! Come & have fun with your children, music & instruments.

VCE Student Help

Come along for help with grammar & structure for

Carnaval Kids Dance
4 – 5 pm
5 to 12-year-olds
Kids can discover an authentic ‘carnaval’ experience through movement & choreography leading to the creation of outdoor performances around the Moreland community.
$80 ($64 conc.)

Tuesdays
Junior Coding Club
3.45 – 4.45 pm
7 to 12-year-olds
Learn the basics of computer programming using Scratch to build computer games & animated scenes. All children must be accompanied by a parent or carer.
$40 ($32 conc.)

Kids Theatre
4 – 5.30 pm
Through play & theatre, kids will use their imagination to create a performance.
$120 ($96 conc.)

Thursdays
Carnaval Kids Music Workshop
4 – 5 pm
5 to 12-year-olds
Kids can discover an authentic ‘carnaval’ experience through music & instruments leading to the creation of outdoor performances around the Moreland community.

Beginners Guitar
4 – 5 pm
Learn guitar basics in a small group setting. Guitar supplied if required. All ages welcome.

Playgroup for Toddlers
9.30 – 11.30 am
For families to come together to chat, play & make friends in a relaxed & welcoming space with an experienced facilitator
$60 per family per term

Saturdays
Rainbow babies music
9 – 10 am
Music for queer parents and their babies. A combination of rhymes, songs & stories from oral traditions & contemporary singing, movement and play. Includes time to talk over a tea about the delight, wonder & challenges of parenting.
$80 ($64 conc.) per family

Newlands Community Special Event for Parents
Learning Through Play - Parent session
Wednesday 15 March, 7 – 9 pm
Parents can learn how children make sense of the world around them through play. Learn how children can develop social & cognitive skills, mature emotionally & gain the self-confidence required to engage in new experiences & environments.
Cost: $2 per session

Newlands Community House is a physically accessible venue. East Coburg Community House is physically accessible into the house, but has steps into the back garden. If you have any access requirements please contact us on 9913 5472.
