Little Big Shots Film Festival for Kids 

This Queen's Birthday long weekend 

At ACMI, Federation Square



Australia’s largest and longest-running film festival curated especially for kids aged 2 to 12, Little Big Shots runs for 5 days from the Gala Launch on Thursday 8 June to Monday 12 June across the Queen's B'day Long W'end. 

The festival is designed to entertain young minds and inspire future filmmakers, featuring a selection of the best local and international films, made both for kids, and by kids.

Spanning animation, live-action and documentary titles, the Little Big Shots 2017 program features over 80 films, with 24 films made by child filmmakers and 27 films made by Australian filmmakers. This year also features 10 world premieres and over 40 Australian premieres. To bring the very best in film for kids to the festival, titles are also sourced from 20 different countries, which this year includes films from; Jordan, Taiwan, Norway, Japan, Hungary, USA, UK, Korea and many more, as well as a special focus in 2017 on films made by women and girls from around the world.
