Hi FoECers and Friends,
Moreland City Council is continuing their wonderful support for our creek corridor with a sponsored event happening this Sunday to celebrate National Tree Day. The event is easily accessed from the Kodak bridge (Spectrum Way); simply walk across the bridge and take the new parkland entry to the left - we will be visible no doubt!
This event is earlier than the usual FoEC events: starts at 10.00AM until 12.30PM.
Any questions about this event can be directed to Vince or Lori at MCC Ph: 8311 4386.
I also wanted to make mention of a planning permit application that has been drawn to my attention. It is for a new foundry on Newlands Road. The relevant planning permit is MPS/2016/881 - view this from the Moreland website, go to planning & building area and then select planning permits in progress, then enter the application no. It is the industrial land behind the existing factories/workshops on Norfolk Court. If anyone has any concerns please lodge these with the council! I for one don't like the absence of detailed drainage related info and the plant list is not indigenous and is a few thousand plants short! They should also do the reserve side of the fence!!!

See you on the creek!
Regards,
David.
