Newlands Climate Action

This Saturday: Newlands Climate Action Gathering - all welcome!

In case you missed the notice about this last week, our new local action group plans to meet this Saturday 16^th September 3pm-5pm.

If you plan come along please let us know as we’re still deciding between holding the meeting at the Newlands Neighbourhood house or a local home TBC. You can RSVP on Facebook here or via text to Danny 0413 272 614.

There is a screening of Guarding the Galilee by Stop Adani on at Fed square at 6.30pm the same day so some of us will go on to that afterwards… join us for that too if you can! 

This local meeting is a chance to:

• hear current information on climate change impacts and some ways people are currently pushing for positive changes. 
• get active together, including sending emails to pressure politicians and banks to do the right thing,  maybe bring a laptop.  
• talk and eat together – afternoon tea and/or soup provided.
• look at some solutions – especially solutions that have been great for the communities that have implemented them.

Art materials available for kids who want to get involved by making posters. 

If at the neighbourhood house bring a gold coin donation for the use of the room.
