Screening John Goldschmidt's account of the Wave Hill Walkoff, The Unlucky Australians, for the 50th anniversary of this critical protest.

Tuesday 19 September 6-8pm.

It will be followed by a panel discussion with David Alenson, John Burgess, Felicity Collins and Alan Hardy.

The film screened in Britain and elsewhere in the 1970s but a combination of political and commercial pressure conspired to prevent its broadcast in Australia. After being programmed on the ABC at the time, it was cancelled, though Frank Hardy eventually took the film to Kalkarindji & Daguragu where it was screened for the community.
