There will be a national day of action to Stop Adani on Saturday October 7th. ACF and STOP ADANI are organising a big event at Princess Park 1-3pm.
To quote the event page: "Bring your family and friends (dogs welcome) and a picnic for a fun, festival event. There will be face-painting, music and lots of fun activities as well as a giant human sign you can be part of! Together, we can stop this mine and create a better world, powered by clean energy, where our reefs and communities thrive.”
Our newly formed local group (Newlands Climate Action) will aim to meet and picnic together as a group at this event - meeting spot will be Princess Park at the end of Pigdon St (easy walk from Lygon St tram) at 12 noon… if you arrive later and want to find us text Nina (0400 123 336) or Danny (0413 272 614). Bring a picnic rug and some food to share if you can manage it 😀
