The Moreland Community is growing. With a baby boom underway and more people than ever choosing to make Moreland their home, Council is investing in its existing parks and working to create new local parks in the areas that need them most.
The Draft Park Close to Home: A Framework to Fill Open Space Gaps establishes how and where Council should buy land for new parks. We are seeking your feedback on the draft and want to know if we are on the right track with how we plan to create new open space.
The Draft Park Close to Home can be viewed at the Moreland website, along with an Information Sheet, suburb snapshots, and an FAQ. Visit www.moreland.vic.gov.au/park- close-to-home
Consultation on the draft Framework commenced on the 2 October 2017, and finishes on the 3 November, 2017. You are invited to review the draft Framework on Council’s website, and provide us with a written submission outlining your views.
