Hi All,
Well, the planting is over for another year. What a season it has been in terms of the phenomenal number of plants that joined our creek corridor in 2017 (the extra 4000 or so form the Melb Water Project on the Livingstone Street escarpment certainly boosted number - FoEC alone added almost 6000 plants this year. Gee we rock...
Now the hard end of the season begins. Maintenance tasks at the Gooseneck Meander site this Sunday, 1-3 PM, east side of the creek (the old Kodak bridge basically). Bring a hat and sunscreen please as the sun is already strong enough to burn (so my white skin proved last weekend)!
As for the weather, we couldn't have done better, partly cloudy and 21 degrees with a light southerly breeze - perfect in my book!
I have been busy with our annual application for Melbourne Water Community Grants. In the process of going through photos I found this pearla! The Gooseneck circa 2009 (I think). For those who know this site - wow is not nearly sufficient to describe the changes.
See you on the creek on Sunday!
