Places are limited, bookings essential.Sustainable Craft Workshops by Emma Grace : Beeswax Wraps *please note amended date Sunday 19 November 1 – 3 pm Be part of the solution - learn to make beeswax wraps to keep food fresh and hygienic without using single-use plastics. $40 ($30 conc.) $10 materials
Talismans Saturday 2 December 1 – 3 pm Use colourful recycled materials to create your own festive Talismans. Imbue them with ‘good luck’ while meditating on goals and things that make your hearts sing! $40 ($30 conc.) $5 materials
About the teacher:
Emma Grace is a facilitator and contemporary jeweller passionate about incorporating sustainability into her work. She was featured in The Age Melbourne Magazine’s Top 100 most inspiring and influential people for her initiatives combining craft and sustainability. Emma has taught workshops for schools, councils, community centres and festivals for over 10 years. She has extensive experience working with diverse groups of people and thrives on creating a positive environment in which participants can flourish.

Make Your Own Upcycled Shopping Bags Saturday 11 November 10.30 am – 1.30 pm Bring along an old tshirt, pillowcase or other fabric and learn how to make a reusable shopping tote and produce bags. A good beginners sewing project. $15 per person
Make Your Own Underwear Saturday 18 November 10.30 am – 1.30 pm Underwear is cheap and easy to make from recycled materials - come along and learn how to make your own undies, bring some stretch cotton or an old tshirt to upcycle into knickers. Intermediate sewing project. Skill level: basic sewing skills recommended. $15 per person
Make Your Own Leggings Saturday 25 November 10.30 am – 1.30 pm Surprisingly cheap and easy to make, these wardrobe essentials are a great beginners project for those with basic sewing machine familiarity. $15 per person
Important information: *Bring your own sewing machine or use ours. We have limited machines so get in quick to borrow one.

About Stitches of Brunswick: Stitches of Brunswick comprises organisational director Laura, and instructor Rachel. Rachel is a Brunswick based dressmaker with 20 years experience making everything from wedding gowns and millinery to swimwear and mens' suits. Laura is a Sustainability Activist with a passion for zero waste and the circular economy. Stitches of Brunswick creates a relaxed group atmosphere where participants at any skill level, from total beginnner to advanced can learn to make wonderful new things from old materials.
