Kites for Clean Energy at the Darebin Kite Festival.

A bunch of parents, kids, and their friends will be flying kites decorated with clean energy pictures at the Darebin Kite Festival on March 25th at Edwards Lake Park.

We want to show our support for a rapid shift to renewable energy as part of urgently tackling climate change.

Newlands Parents for Climate Action who are running the activity is a group made up of local parents backed up by the artistic and craft-making abilities of their children. 

We will have a kite-making session from 11.30am-12.30pm at the DCAN stall (that stands for Darebin Climate Action Now). Then we’ll be flying kites together near the ball-batting cage on the oval at 1pm.

Just turn up - no need to book!
