Hi FoEC'ers and Friends,

How sweet it has been to hear rain falling today! Hopefully we can get some more tonight and over the next few days; gee it has been dry!

We have a scheduled maintenance activity for Sunday 21st of October - this Sunday. Usual time of 1-3PM though come early if you need to and stay as long as you can. Every piece of effort from you guys makes a difference. Imagine how many small plants you could free from weeds and give a head start to if you can only spare a half hour; come and release a maturing plant from the confines of it's bag. And lets not forget that stakes and bags don't reclaim themselves for use next year!

We are meeting at the caravan park site. Access should be easy from either the Elisabeth Street track or for those on the Newlands Road side, entry can be via Norfolk Court (off Newlands Road). The forecast looks great - 21 degrees and some cloud. Remember that we are definitely into the slip, slap, slop time of the year so think protection from the sun (hats, sunscreen and light clothing that covers your skin) and also remember to hydrate - plenty of water please.
