Helen's Hope

Untitled-2

Mission: To raise awareness about ovarian cancer.

Helen Hatzis (1965-2016) died two years ago after an eight year battle with ovarian cancer. In that eight year period, Helen became an ambassador for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF). She hosted and spoke at functions raising awareness about this insidious disease and the need for an early detection test. In Australia, a woman dies every 10 hours from ovarian cancer.

With Helen’s passing, a few of her closest friends and family formed the Helen’s Hope Foundation in order to honor her legacy and raise funds for worthwhile causes. Helen was more than a cancer sufferer. She was a wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. Helen was a dedicated speech pathologist, teacher, mentor and philanthropist. In the time since Helen lost her battle with cancer the Foundation has raised over $35,000 which has been donated to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF).

You may want to make a small contribution by purchasing a Helen’s Hope tote bag.

Each bag costs $20 including free home delivery. If you wish to make a purchase you can contact Irene at 0405 386 747. All proceeds go to the OCRF.
